In June of 1999, Charlie underwent a cancer removal operation and had the lower lobe of his
lung removed. Following 32 radiation treatments, he has been cancer-free.
His energy level is low and recuperation will take 6 months to a year or more.
Charlie has decided to take a year off from publishing his annual SOBRIETY CALENDAR.
After ten straight years of selling out the sobriety calendar, there was no 2000 edition.
Charlie promises, God willing, to be back with a new version of the Sobriety Calendar
in 2001!
"Thanks to all who called and sent prayers and cards for my recovery from cancer.
It's nice to have hundreds of AA customers who really care. I am so grateful", Charlie said.
